We are new to home schooling, but it hasn’t taken long for our children to get in the groove – especially when you get to go on a field trip to In ‘N Out Burger!
We are involved with L.O.V.E.s Homeschooling Group (http://familylobby.com/homeschool/default.asp). It is a group that has informational meetings once a month, a monthly newsletter, and offers field trips various times throughout the year. Last month we had a hoot going on a field trip to In-N-Out Burger (www.in–n–out.com). Our family has always admired this restaurant, but now after going behind the scenes, we are completely blown away!
They offer field trips to any group, public school as well, and they are free. Each student is given a hat, a goodie bag, and a free lunch (Mommies got to eat free too!). We went behind and heard how they use 700 pounds of potatoes per day, how they peel that many, how they don’t have any freezers (because everything is FRESH), and they only use Ace quality tomatoes. Each student was even able to cut a potato for the french fries.
Did you know how the employee’s uniforms are always clean? They change them numerous times a day to have a clean appearance for their customers.
The Prescott store was amazing, and the manager, Regina, was very informative and sweet. She told us you can start working at 16 years old, and the starting wage is $10.50 per hour. Wow!
Our kids are still talking about the day at In-N-Out!
